Removing the Air Bottle Mounting Ring

With the Pistol Grip removed, lay the rifle on its side with the base facing you and located the Air Bottle Mounting Collar securing screw. This will be situated just to the rear of the trigger and recessed in a drilling in the rifle frame.

Using a hexagon wrench (Allen key) undo the securing screw and set aside

Now remove the steel collar towards the REAR of the rifle.

NOTE: In some cases this may be very tight. In this case it is permissible to temporarily reintroduce the air bottle in order to gain purchase on the collar.

Note that the collar is not reversible - it MUST be replaced with its shouldered end facing the rifle's muzzle. Also note the small recess in the collar into which the securing screw locates on reassembly.

Once removed set the collar aside.
